Kaiser turned 18 months on January 1, 2015! New Years day is his half birthday. We were in Utah during that time, but when we got back to Texas, we scheduled Kaiser's 18 month Dr. Appointment.
We went to a pediatrician at the Scott & White Clinic here in College Station. We found a pediatrician that had really good reviews so we decided to give her a shot. Her name is Dr. Betty Svendsen. We had his appointment on January 22nd and I ended up really liking the doctor! I'm not a huge fan of all the corporate-ness of Scott & White healthcare, but the pediatrician seems great!
Here are Kaiser's 18-month stats:
Height: 33 inches -- 62nd percentile
Weight: 25 pounds 9 ounces -- 66th percentile
Head: 50 cm -- 97th percentile
He got a few shots at this appointment as well--I believe they were his flu booster shot, his Hepatitis A, and his DTaP. He took them like a champ and only cried for a second. He's such a good boy.
Because I am so far behind on my blogging I am not going to post the usual, normal stuff. But there are a few things I remember...
* He loves going to Music Makers
* He runs around constantly and is a huge fan of anything outside. He loves his milk and downs his 3 "bottles" that we give him super quick
* He loves books!
* He knows basically every single animal sound and all of the main animal names
* He still doesn't watch too many shows--the only ones he will sit through for more than 20 minutes are the Baby Einstein videos that we watch on YouTube
* I'm thankful we have an active little boy!
* There really aren't any words that he won't attempt to say. He is super talkative and always has been
* He is wearing 12-18 month clothes
* He takes 1 nap a day...usually for 2 hours. Maybe a little more or a little less
* Bedtime is at 9:30, and he wakes up at 8:30 or so
* He doesn't do super well with talking to family on FaceTime, but he loves seeing them and is very social in person
* We took him to nursery the first week we were back on Texas. He did SO great! He walked right in and didn't hesitate as we left--A very bittersweet moment for sure! Glad that we can pay attention at church again, but sad that he is such a big boy
* We love our little boy and can't believe he is growing up SOOOO fast!
Here are his super cute 18 month photos! Enjoy!
