The day had finally arrived! April 8, 2016--RING DAY! A day that is so monumental for all Texas Aggie students and their families. We went to pick up Scott's ring at our specific time and everything went so smoothly. You could definitely tell that they have perfected ring day and have figured out how to organize everything because nothing about the day was chaotic, even though Scott was one of more than 5,400 students who received their rings that weekend.
When it was Scott's turn to receive his ring, we went up and I was told that I would be the lucky one to present him with his ring. I was handed the ring, I looked it over and made sure his name was correctly engraved on the inside, and put it on his finger. We were both so happy and proud of this moment right here.
Such an awesome moment. |
Most people back West don't wear a class ring but all Aggies wear their rings as a symbol of their Alma Mater and accomplishment their whole lives. If you ever see anybody with a giant chunk of gold on their finger there is a good chance they're an Aggie and you should yell at them "Gig 'Em!"
Solid Aggie gold. |

I am seriously so proud of Scott for this amazing accomplishment. This ring symbolizes all of the hard work and dedication he put into getting his education. It was not an easy road. He spent countless hours working so hard to stay on top of all of his projects, papers, presentations, assignments, and his thesis. He did that all while supporting me and our two beautiful boys. I could not have asked for a better husband. Love you Scott! So proud of you!
The next day, April 9th, we were able to attend Kyle Field all together as a family for the first time to watch the Spring football game. It is also another experience that Scott and I will always remember. Kyle Field is amazing, Scott would know--he spent a lot of time and effort installing seats while the stadium was being built. That stadium was built with some of his blood and sweat! We are so fortunate to have been able to spend 2 years of our lives here in College Station!
