We wanted to be able to go to Austin for the first time right before Scott started up school again in January. We went on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It was a quick, last minute trip but we had a lot of fun!
We first went to Lady Bird Lake and did the hiking trail along the lake. It was such a beautiful river walk trail. We walked the path allowing us to see the skyline of Austin, and a bunch of gorgeous scenery around it. Kaiser stayed in the stroller for a few minutes before he decided he wanted to get out and run around. The weather was absolutely beautiful! Gotta love January days in Texas!
Trying to take a family photo by ourselves is quite the struggle haha

There were so many turtles just crawling up on the logs-it was so cute
We walked about 2-3 miles before Kaiser was done and we were ready to move on. We drove around for a little bit taking in the city while Kaiser took a quick nap. We drove around The University of Texas at Austin and went to see the Longhorns Stadium. The Campus/Football field was beautiful but I only snapped a few photos, sadly.
We then went to the Texas State Capitol Building. We were able to walk all around the grounds and let Kaiser run around yet again, which he loved, obviously. Then we decided to take a quick tour of the inside. It is a beautiful building!

Again--trying to get a decent family pic with this little goofball is quite the task ;)
When we got done, we went to dinner at a place Scott heard about called "Torchy's Tacos." It was some super good food. As we got ready to get in the car, I snapped this quick photo of my boys watching an airplane together. I love this :)
We had a great day in Austin, and we definitely wore this little boy right out! I love spending time with my family!
